Nikki is a dear friend from my hometown in Delaware, so I was so excited when she contacted me about getting photos with her new husband, John on their honeymoon in Charleston. More and more couples are seeking out Charleston honeymoon photography, a great idea to get beautiful photos of themselves in a gorgeous location like Charleston!
I knew Nikki from when I was a wedding photographer in the Philadelphia/Delaware area. She was one of the most talented planners I have ever worked with (and also SUPER fun to work with!), so when we all met up in the French Quarter of Charleston, we were immediately catching up with each other since my move down to the south!
It felt serendipitous that they chose Charleston for their honeymoon and I was able to capture it! Later on, Nikki told me that she didn’t know she was pregnant at the time of the photos until later, which made these photos so much sweeter! Can’t wait for them to come visit again!
We started off by the iron wrought gates of St Philips and worked our way to Washington Square park, with it’s stunning cobblestone roads. 
I am so obsessed with these brick arches, with the growing ivy. We had to make a stop for some quintessential Charleston honeymoon photography here!
After Washington Square Park, we started making our way to the Waterfront Park and made a little pit stop at Philadelphia Alley. 
With the new outfit change, and Hibernian Hall right next door to their hotel, we grabbed a few photos on the white steps as the sun was setting!
We arrived at Waterfront Park right at twilight, a charming sight by the water.
