When I was contacted about P.G.’s proposal to sweet Caitlyn at White Point Garden in Charleston, I knew I wanted to be the photographer for such a special moment in their lives! Proposals are so special and I always love to do planning with my client to ensure the best option for capturing a quick moment! P.G. opted to do the “tourist” scenario, one of many strategies to make sure they are photo ready without tipping off their partner ahead of time on what is about to happen! I won’t let the strategy out of the bag, but it always goes off without a hitch and no photo bombers to be seen! Although, in this case, we did have a little furry photo bomber! Right as P.G. knelt down to propose, this adorable little dog ran up the stairs of the gazebo to share in their excitement! It was so unexpected and hilarious, Caitlyn was laughing through her whole state of surprise at this little guy! They will always remember this sweet pup! <3
As a photographer, I also love to get some sweet engagement portraits after the proposal, so once Caitlyn caught her breath from the proposal, we walked around White Point and the surrounding streets of Charleston! All throughout the portraits, Caitlyn was asking P.G. how he planned it so perfectly! It was so adorable!
And of course, to end the session, we need to get a great close up photo of the beautiful ring, so Caitlyn can have a great ring photo to share with friends and family!
