I once again had the lovely opportunity to second for my friend and talented photographer, Dana Cubbage! It was a beautiful Charleston day for this stunning Wadmalaw Island wedding! The girls got ready at Upstairs at Midtown, while the guys were at the Citadel. Their candle lit ceremony took place at Summerall Chapel with a bagpipe player marching them out to their sword exit! Then we were off to cover the outdoor reception at a personal Wadmalaw home!
Check out these photos captured of a truly special Wadmalaw Island wedding –
All the ladies had adorable white and pink PJs on, while they got their hair and makeup styling! The bride gave out personalized handkerchiefs to her mother, sister, and friends. So sweet! This Charleston groom had great details, including a coveted Brackish bowtie, a personalized handkerchief from his bride, cufflinks, and Woodford Reserve Whiskey! All the guys with their Citadel class rings! The Summerall Chapel is so stunning! The bagpipe send off was great! This private estate was absolutely lovely, right off of the marsh with blooming flowers covering the back porch of the home. They had an open air cocktail hour and reception with such thoughtful and stunning details throughout! Can’t get more Lowcountry than this boat holding delicious beers and another station of boiled peanuts! If you know me, you know I’m a sucker for cascading ivy or flowers on homes. This back porch was MAGICAL.
The textured linens pulled everything together with the muted light pinks and golds! <3 Seriously, I would love to have a porch like this in my future! 😛
They are just too adorable!! One of the sweetest parents dances I’ve witnessed! <3 SO much fun!
