When planning a boudoir session with a client, I am often asked the question on what lingerie styles are best for photos. So I wrote a little post to explain what works best for each body type, so you can feel and look your best during your next boudoir shoot!
Curvy – Corsets are wonderful for a curvy body, giving structure and cinching in the waist. For large chested women, opt for a full coverage bra or sturdy demi cup that comes in lace or a flirty pattern. To minimize hips or stomach, go for a babydoll that skims the thighs, high cut briefs to avoid waistband overhang, or a plunging neckline to draw your eye up to your décolletage.
Athletic bodies – Go all out with a flirty lacy bra set to embrace your femininity or frilly ruffles to accentuate your curves. You can also pull off bright and bold colors for a fun look! To give cleavage, go for a demi cup with side padding. For a more casual look, go for triangle bras or light, lacy bras without wiring.
All types – Bring your heels to look long and lean for most looks! And don’t underestimate a proper bra fitting! It instantly drops pounds by raising the bustline and showing off your waist. Thigh high stockings and garter belts give a posh look to each outfit(but find the right size first before buying to avoid unnecessary pinching and bulges). To emphasize the tush on any body type, “cheekies” or wide panel waist thongs do wonders, while ruffled boy shorts give you extra shape if you need more curves in that area!
