Brandy and David had a joyous Isle of Palms wedding amidst the Hurricane Joaquin storms that flooded Charleston. The wedding reception was accommodated by Crave Kitchen and Cocktails in Mount Pleasant, due to the original venue being flooded unexpectedly. I shot alongside my amazingly talented friend and photographer, Dana Cubbage, who was so helpful and upbeat the whole day, while the rain poured. We were able to make use of a beautiful wrap around porch for their first meeting at the Isle of Palms house they were staying at. And the storms stopped miraculously right after the ceremony, so we were able to photograph some sweet photos of the newlyweds at Church of the Holy Cross on Sullivan’s Island before heading to the reception.
Love and joy filled their day! Truly a memorable day for everyone present for years and years to come! Congrats to the newlyweds!

A glass table holds all the gorgeous jewelry for Brandy’s bridal details.
The last few pieces of jewelry are put on before Brandy meets David for their first look.
Brandy peeks outside to see if David is on his way over. This southern wrap around porch was so lovely to have while the rain poured down. We couldn’t have picked a better spot for their first look! Church of the Holy Cross on Sullivan’s Island is this charming, rustic church that is ideal for a beautiful ceremony! We had a quick little moment to get some newlywed photos while the rain stopped! Crave Kitchen and Cocktails was absolutely incredible in accommodating such a last minute reservation for Brandy and David! Charleston sure does have some of the most helpful people in the world! And it made Brandy and David’s troubles melt away with good food and music!
