Folly Beach engagement photos are my favorite as a Charleston portrait photographer. The serene beach has so many places for photography and it also has a lively pier for some much needed boardwalk photos!
I was so happy to hear that Danira and Medo wanted to have their photos taken at the Pier, where they first met each other!
<3 They had both been in separate groups, visiting Folly Beach, when they ran into each other and immediately hit it off! Perfect meet cute!
While it is hard to choose locations for portraits in Charleston, where there are so many picturesque options, the decision is made easily when the couple has a special connection to a certain place, like these two love bugs did!

This magical golden hour was perfect! I always try to schedule our portrait sessions on the beach at sunrise or sunset. This will make the most of the soft lighting that occurs!
The beach wind was perfect!
Under the pier is the place to be, so beautiful in its symmetry!
It was lovely getting to photograph them walking down the same boardwalk where they first met!
The seagulls were all around, so we had to use them in the background with the bright blue sky.
If you look closely, you’ll see two dolphin fins swimming close to the pier for these next few shots! 
Last, but not least, I had to get a quick detail photo of Danira’s gorgeous engagement ring. What better background than this lovely grass that imitated the beach grass of Folly!
