In my experience as a Charleston wedding photographer, Seabrook Island Club is a beautiful venue for a wedding. And this couple made the venue their own in a cozy small wedding, shared with close family and friends. Combining both of their very different cultures to reflect their wedding day, Mariko and Eric were hitched with style. As a result, it was truly a warm and beautiful day at the club. The sun was shining. The pelicans flew overhead. All the while, the ocean waves crashed lazily nearby. I had the pleasure of photographing alongside my friend and wonderfully talented Molly Joseph (link) and we couldn’t have asked for a better day! Congrats to the newlyweds!
The Seabrook Island Club provides the perfect spot for a ceremony, right in the courtyard by the ocean. It’s surrounded by tall palm trees and lush landscaping.

I absolutely love the precious moments when a bride walks up the aisle with her father! This image captured the first few moments of Mariko holding onto her father’s arm as the ceremony begins.
Mariko’s pink dress stood out, due to its elegant design and color.
The ring exchange seals their vows to each other.
Mariko and Eric share their first kiss, while a breeze passes through.
The flags of South Carolina and the US fly high, while guests walk to the Seabrook Island clubhouse for the reception.
Vibrant colored flowers brighten each table at the clubhouse, with yellow, orange and pink accents.
Cherry blossoms cascade down the simple square white cake at the reception, due to Mariko’s heritage!
Their first dance was filled with smiles and laughter!
Birds fly over the ocean as the sun sets and the reception comes to a close. Congrats to Mariko and Eric! May there be many more days like this in your marriage together!
