Washington DC Wedding

This wedding was so dear to me. I had photographed Katie’s sister’s wedding when I was still up in Delaware and immediately knew that this was one of the sweetest families you will meet! So I was so happy to hear that Katie wanted me to photograph her own wedding, even though I had moved down to Charleston recently. I jumped at the chance! Katie and Matt were married at the beautiful church of St Patrick in downtown DC and then had their reception at the famous Fairfax at Embassy Row (link). But in between, we took the whole wedding party around the sites for some gorgeous formal photos at sunset, all around the National Mall! We stopped at Lincoln Memorial and Jefferson Memorial and then headed back when the sun had set to party it up with their friends and family! Margo from Bright Occasions (link) made sure all of Katie and Matt’s personal touches were in the perfect place for guests to enjoy, including an amazing map for guests to sign at the reception. Rich colored florals were provided by Yellow Door Floral (link) and Katie’s classic styling was done by Jewel Hair Design (link) and Makeup by Mimi Tran (link). Congrats, Katie and Matt!
