Heather and Stephen had their engagement photography session at Hampton Park, a gem of a spot in Charleston! They wanted to get comfortable in front of the camera before their wedding at Alhambra Hall, so an engagement session is perfect for that. Then when I show up at the wedding day, you know exactly how we work together and I feel like just another friend and guest of yours at the wedding. That always equates to comfortable, natural photos throughout the day, since you are at ease!
These two immediately warmed up to the camera and Stephen was just beaming with love for his fiance! So adorable! We also had such a beautiful day and the flowers were all a-bloom in the park!
Hampton Park has so many different spots for photos that are just so quintessentially Charleston. I love this quiet, hidden path of the park with all the trees on either sides! And then heading next to this beautiful big white gazebo (one of the first things you see driving up to the park)!
Another favorite spot is the row of crepe myrtle trees covered in spanish moss. No matter what time of day, the lighting is so dreamy here, since the moss gives that nice shade! We lucked out and had these photos taken right at golden hour, so the lighting was just magical!
Along with posed photos, I love to mix in natural, cuddly photos of each couple being themselves and feeling the love and excitement of their engagement session or wedding day! Heather and Stephen were amazing at just being themselves!
