Boudoir Photography FAQ:

Q) How long have you offered boudoir photography?

A) I started practicing with friends when I first established Kate’s Lens (now Kate Timbers Photography) back in 2007 and realized that I was drawn to finding each person’s beauty in a portrait. I now run a photography business dedicated to weddings, fashion, and boudoir portraits, so I can continue to perfect my craft in these specific fields. No matter how many sessions I’ve done, I’m always filled with excitement when discussing plans with a boudoir client for her close-up. It’s empowering, uplifting, and transforming for each of my clients and I’m blessed to be able to give that to them through the boudoir experience.

Q) How do I contact you?

A) Email Kate at: kate@katetimbers.com or contact us here.

Q) Where can I view more of your work?

A) You can view images in my portfolio HERE.

Q) Can I bring a friend for moral support?

A) Of course! To get the most out of your session, find a friend who is your biggest cheerleader, with which you feel completely at ease. (No frenemies allowed! 🙂 ) Since this is a very personal session, I find that the best results happen when you are just with me or when there is only one friend present. Any more people and you risk getting distracted, nervous, or flustered. That, of course, changes somewhat if you decide to do a boudoir party of multiple friends, since everyone is participating, but we also give the option for a private session within these group parties as well for the same reason of making each person comfortable and at ease for their close-up. (For more info on boudoir parties, which are perfect for girls’ night out or bachelorette parties, email me at kate@katetimbers.com.)

Q) How much is it to book my boudoir photography session?
A) Currently, a $75 deposit is due upon booking for the full session. That amount will then be applied to the session fee.  The remainder of the session fee is due the day of the scheduled session. Contact us here to get a full pricelist of the session prices.
Q) What is a viewing session?
A)After your shoot, you will be able to schedule your private viewing session to view/order your photos! You have an option to purchase the high-resolution disc at that time and/or order our popular prints and albums. If you’d like a detailed list beforehand, please email Kate –kate@katetimbers.com.
Q) How should I arrive for my shoot? What should I all bring?
A) Once you book your time slot, Kate will email you info and tips on how to prep for your shoot, what to bring, etc. We’ll also send a short questionnaire that will help you get the most out of your session! The usual advice is to bring 1-3 outfits, arrive with a clean face/hair down,  get a good night’s sleep, and drink lots of water leading up to the shoot.
